It’s been years since I’ve had to go through the diagnostic process and oh gosh I forgot how much it sucks!!! I hate having to research everything myself and needing to prompt my doctors to do certain tests!!!!! I spent the night in the ER a week ago because my PCP couldn’t see me. The first available was tomorrow, no specialist I was told to see (in three days after leaving the ER) would see me without my PCP making the call. I’m ready to scream or fist fight my PCP!

I don’t have any clue where you’re at but I can not ever say enough good things about Pittsburghs Magee Womens hospital. I travel there for care and they’ve changed my life for the better and supported my entire diagnostic and treatment journey

Yea let’s hope the debilitating pain doesn’t come back it’s kinda early to tell. The surgeon’s been good and called to check on me a few times. I’ll need to find a new GYN that have good knowledge of endo though, my surgeon mostly only see patients for surgery.
At least you’re on the mend!! I’m so glad the surgeons gonna see you
Going back to my surgeon *
Hey Rosie, I’m feeling better now. UTI cleared up but my blood work still off so still taking antibiotics. Going back to my surgery in 2 weeks to put me on BC. I hope you see a doctor for your breath issue and get some relief soon!
Oh gosh Jenny!!!! How are you feeling now?? This is unfortunately for breathing issues. My gyn is honestly very very good about seeing me within a week or even same day when things go wrong, I’m in the process of advocating for hysterectomy as bleeding is my primary complaint. ER doctors are kinda the worst to women in pain
Hey Rosie if this is endo related it might be more helpful to see a GYN specialist directly. I know even that it’s hard to find a good GYN that understands endo and listens to us. For me it took 4 GYN to finally get my endometriosis and pain treated seriously. Also ER doctors really suck at gynecology. I had a UTI infection after surgery so got into ER on Christmas Day and the ER doctor said I developed another cyst 6 days after the surgery and freaked out, but turned out it’s ovulation and completely normal. He didn’t even ask about my cycle
I understand the frustration and small town problems. I have to drive 3 hours to see 2 doctors for my health that took almost 2 years to figure out what little they have about me, which I still feel like there's more. Thankfully I have people who can drive me when I can't. I wish you luck Rosie 🙏
I wish!! Small town problems. This is the only PCP within a half hour, any farther and I can’t manage it during a flare. If you ever need help throwing hands I’m here 😂
Can you get a new PCP? I understand your frustration. I’ve been in the diagnostic process for a few years now and I’m ready to give up or throw hands. You’re not alone! You deserve good healthcare and providers that listen to you! I wish you the best and hope you get answers soon ❤️
