I had my first session with my therapist yesterday and things went great, even got a small burst of energy but once my dad got home and I lost motivation to watch TV, I got really depressed and went back to old habits.

      The first session is an introduction. Therapy isn't an instant fix. You need to continue going to sessions if you want to improve. It's kind of like medicine. One dose isn't going to be very effective. Over time, it'll become helpful.

      i get the same way when i return back to life. it’s super hard but take the biggest things that helped u out of therapy and incorporate them into your daily life. whether it’s reminding yourself how important and special you are, or writing down three things you’re looking forward to.
