I have been financially dependent on my boyfriend for a very long time. Today he sais he's no longer interested in helping me with anything except my phone bill for now. I keep the house up and cook all of his meals plus whatever our children need (18 and 15). I know I should have been working a long time ago vut now I am I. a really dark place because I don't even know where to begin and I literally have no money of my own. I also just had to bury my cat of 5 years today, alone. Any advice would be appreciated.

Unfortunately I do not have any family that I can reach out to and quite literally I only have one friend who is doing all she can to be there for me. I truly appreciate everyone who has answered. I will look in to the freelance work you talked about. Hopefully that will at least give me a start. Thanks again everyone. šŸ’™

It sounds like you are actually doing a lot of work at the moment! I am so sorry to hear. If there are other people in your life to reach out to for help that would be the first step. If you are looking to make money, there are lots of remote/freelance jobs online now that donā€™t take up too much time or energy. Like others have mentioned, disability is another option. Hope you are doing okay hang in there ā¤ļø

It's hard to start over but you will be OK if you do something now go to school or check websites that can help you get back in the work game

I'm so sorry about your cat. How sad for you. Can you work? If not see if you can apply for disability. I won't judge your relationship because I don't know all the details but having some independence from him would probably be a good thing for you.

Have you tried applying for disability? And I am so so sorry for what you are going through.

I'm sorry that's happening to you my wife has been going through a 3 year battle with disability and that is a long route to go so be ready for that if that is the route you do go. You need a support system someone you can talk to and confide in

Have you applied for disability yet? Your boyfriend doesnā€™t seem like a very nice person to do that to you. The food pantry,if you have a therapist they can help you.
