Have been fighting this disease since 2013. No one in my family showed up or or even inquired as to how I am... even still, to this day. Trying to recalibrate my life alone at 56. Just trying hard to not feel all alone or lonely.

My heart breaks for you to have gone through this journey alone! I wish I could hug you right nowā¦Beyond your words I can feel youāre strong, resilient, and capable of navigating this journey on your own terms. It might take time to recalibrate your life and find your footing, but trust in your own strength and know that brighter days lie ahead. Keep reaching out, keep connecting with others who understand and support you, and never forget that you are worthy of love and companionship. You're not alone, my friend. We're all here for you.
I'm so sorry that you're facing such a difficult situation.. It can be really distancing to be going through such an uphill battle since 2013 and feeling like you're doing it alone. Feeling betrayed and annoyed that your family hasn't supported you as much as you had hoped is completely natural. But first, let's stand back for a while. People simply don't know how to deal with difficult circumstances like these sometimes. They may be afraid, at a loss for words, or preoccupied with their own problems. Although it doesn't justify their absence, it could be helpful to comprehend their perspective. Having said that, you are not by yourself in this. There are so many wonderful people in the world who are willing to encourage you, listen to you, and support you at every turn, friends, support groups, even complete strangers and all of us on here. You possess such incredible power and perseverance that it may take some time to realign your life and establish your new normal. Remember that you are never completely aloneākeep reaching out and looking for connections. We are all together in this! Stay strong!

*hugs* I wasnt worried about the hair at all. but when it fell out I was devastated. find a good wig that you like how you look. I tried to find one that looked the same as my hair. I ended up withabout 3 i could deal with. its funny how few people noticed my hair would be long, then short, then long again.

I just recently learned that I have triple negative breast cancer. Iāll be starting chemo this coming up Tuesday. Iām so scared. Iāve gotten plenty of encouragement from others, but although Iām glad people are there for me, I still know itās me having to go through the procedures. I know losing my hair is the least of my worries, but it still hurts my heart to know itās about to be all gone. I canāt even wrap my head around any of this.

@Sunflowerchild8 I am so sorry about your diagnosis. I have been through breast cancer but only ended up with a double mastectomy and taking a pill form chemotherapy pill. Just try to be brave and let yourself cry when you need to. Also, lean on your closest friends and family. Donāt try to do it alone.

I agree. No one should go through this experience alone.
I am so sorry no one should have to fight this fight alone. Hopefully you have friends you have turned to for strength. They do have groups of women that get together to talk about their experiences. I hope you are on the road to recovery.
@Ceig @Ceig We are all here to "hear" and help each other. There are several virtual online support groups as well as in person as well as meet ups with others going through the same thing. Please let us know if you need help finding one @MightyNcy
