I am about to turn 40 and was recently diagnosed with fibrocystic breasts. I have noticed a lot of smooth, firm but squishy lumps and bumps. I also notice that one of my nipples will produce a small drop of clear discharge after I have been poking and pushing on the bumps (cysts I hope) in my breasts and then very gently squeeze the nipple. the other nipple only produces a much smaller amount of clear discharge after squeezing it for several minutes. the practioner I saw seems to think it is unrelated to the cysts and is of no concern. my anxiety won't let me let this go as I know nipple discharge can be a sign of cancer...I am trying to stay calm while I wait for my mammogram appointment. has anyone experienced anything like this?

This is not to alarm you in any way, I am not a Dr. … but I was diagnosed with breast cancer at the end of 2019, my first symptom was a clear liquid discharge from my left nipple. I saw 5 GYN’s over the course of 8 years and they all said it was “nothing to worry about” 😞 demand testing right away, mammogram, ultrasound and MRI … not all tumors show up on mammogram so you must push for further testing. All the best to you xxx
