Do you ever feel like you’re life is very boring and dull and want to change it but you feel like you can’t do anything about because you feel trapped in life

I used to experience this a lot and I would always get stuck in my ways the only thing that helped me was changing up something even it's something as simple as what time I do something or what I eat

yes! i talked to my therapist about it recently. she told me that even if things can’t change rn, i should make plans for when they do change. like for me, i can’t move out rn due to my mental health. but in a little less than a year i plan to move out, so im making plans for that time now to help get me through :)

Yes! And when I try to make my life less boring I end up hurting myself. I think it's hard for people who aren't chronically ill to understand, to them it seems amazing. I get it though, doing nothing and feeling like crap all-day gets to ya sometimes

@kjsux I’ve experienced people thinking my lifestyle sounds great too. It can be frustrating when people think it’s by choice, or that I’m just dramatic/lazy. In regards to your first sentence, how does attempting to make life less boring hurt you? Do you have rebounds from being too active? That’s how it is for me. If I overdo it, I pay the next day or couple of days.

For sure. My life is pretty boring, especially now that my boyfriend has moved out. I stay home, do online school, and just try my hardest to complete the tasks people are supposed to within a day. I don’t really socialize with anyone but family. I think about reaching out to old friends or maybe making new ones, but never find the energy for it….. I feel you 100%

It can definitely be difficult to socialize sometimes, I struggle too. I recently got a part time job that's understanding of my physical limits and I'm hoping to make friends in college. Not sure where you are in life :)
