Throughout the past year I’ve struggled a lot but I’m going into my sophomore year of college and I feel like nothing I’m doing is good enough. I started feeling this way my second semester freshman year and I was able to ignore this thought but this whole summer this feeling has just gotten worse and idk what to do. Any suggestions?

I'm going into my junior year of college and have felt the same way for the last year or so. Seeing my peers doing amazing things and getting life changing opportunities always makes me feel like I'm not doing enough, that I'm not having the full college experience and all it has to offer because my illness is limiting me. Whenever I feel that way I remind myself that everyone works and lives at a different pace. You've been and still are struggling, which isn't something to brush off. You're doing the best you can with the cards you've been dealt and that might look different than the typical college and life journey. For some folks they need to take an extra year or two while others finish early and both are totally fine. This applies to areas of life other than school, too! I know it can be tough to think positively but that's the best advice I have for you. Remember that your life is yours and not anyone else's, it's a unique life journey, so try not to compare yourself to others your age or to where you thought you'd be. Your time will come, you're still young and learning. Another good thing to do is to try and focus on your accomplishments, like getting into college and surviving freshman year among other things I'm sure you have to feel proud of! Hope any of this helps and know that you're not alone in this feeling ✨
