i feel so alone. i’m sitting here sobbing because my boyfriend left for a sleepover meaning he can’t call tonight or half of tomorrow and i don’t even know why that upsets me. i do this everytime and no one understands why and neither do i. i’m scared i will drive my boyfriend away, he already feels guilty at times because of reactions i’ve had from this. i’m so over myself and everything else. i don’t know what to do with myself, i need to do schoolwork but i can’t do anything but cry. i hate myself and i just want to be normal. i feel like no one else gets this way.

My boyfriend and I spend a lot of time together. He will spend days at me and my parents house and I’ll send some days at his place. When our schedules are messed up and we can’t be together it’s very rough on me. I just sob and scream for hours. And now I’m starting TMS treatments for my depression so I’ll see him even less. So trust me I know the feeling. You aren’t alone. The best thing I can tell you is that just because you aren’t together doesn’t mean you aren’t together. As in just because he’s not there you are still in a relationship and committed to eachother. It’s been very hard for me to believe but it gets better with time you just have to work on it and build yourself up.

Look up attachment styles it will help you to better understand yourself for example I am anxious avoident. And I used to go through the same thing. There are ways to fix it but it takes time and self care.

try talking to your therapist about coping skills for codependency, and maybe talk to your psychiatrist about any meds that can calm you while he's gone until you learn some coping skills , like maybe low dose klonopin or valium.
