i feel that about a plush i got recently, it feels embarrassing but hes so squishy and soft and makes me so happy that i dont even care. i act pretty childish a lot of the time not because i'm incapable of being mature or should be treated as lesser or fragile, if anything i've always been known for appearing more mature than my peers, in a lot of ways. it's because i like the way i feel and feel comfortable doing it around the people i'm close with. sometimes i'm not able to control it super well - generally only when i'm upset - but i like living in a situation where i can keep the masking to a minimum and make as many funny sounds as i like, talk about my interests as long as i want, and just be my weird self. it's freeing after living in a place where i got yelled at any time i started rocking

Just because youve seen people do it as a trend doesn't mean everybody else is.

Nobody "pretends to have autism" just because I'm sharing something about it that makes me happy doesn't make me not autistic

Just because someone's sharing a more positive part of their autism like happy stims. Doesn't mean they're pretending, or discrediting the more difficult parts of autism. And yes before you ask I am diagnosed.
