in January, I got covid and in February through March I was in and out of the clinics and ers until I was diagnosed with mono. at that time I had already had two or three different flares. I had mono for four months prior and once diagnosed I was basically bed ridden for a month or so. I ended up getting other infections like a severe uti. fast forward, any kind of stress causes the same symptoms come up. swollen lymphnodes, drenching night sweats, fatigue and weakness headaches, congestion in my ears and sinus, and really bad brain fog. I had an enlarged liver and spleen for months. Out of nowhere (I thought I was doing well) I ended up sleeping through the night, 8 hours Then, I slept through 12 hours. my husband couldn't wake me and I couldn't keep my eyes open. I struggled to speak and move and he said I was whimpering. I'm super swollen and weak. so much so he has had to help me get to the bathroom and I have peed myself doing so. anytime I go to the doctor they tell me my body is fighting an infection... which I know. without my husband home I can't take care of myself enough to get better and I am terrified. I think I have a complication of mono since I have been battling it for months and months on and off. just last weekend, I felt good enough I drank one little drink and my lymphnodes hurt. any others have similar experiences with mono as an adult (I am 24)

Hey there, just wanted to chime in. I am 26, and I got EBV at 24. It was hell, initially I thought I had some serious terminal illness. But don’t fret. You’re not alone, I had the majority of my lymph nodes swell up on my head and neck. They are still a bit swollen to this day, but they fluctuate from day to day. And there’s no pain anymore. I would suggest looking into “Monolaurin” it’s sold on Amazon and it’s a natural anti-viral and it’ll help boost your immune system. I would suggest going with the pellets since it’s easiest to dose. Don’t forget your L-lysine supplement, that helps inhibit any growth from the virus. Throw in some vitamin-c , D and A here and there. If you really wanna get down to it, I would suggest looking up “medical medium ebv protocol” on google and find a supplement protocol that can help you battle this virus. And if you want an alternative, I would look into LDN, it’s a super safe immune system regulator that helps bring everything to balance, I’m on it currently and my brain fog has improved drastically and I have more energy thanks to it. I wish you the best, feel free to message me for any more tips. You got this!

Hey ~ I have battled mono twice now as an adult. Just got over my re-infection actually. Drink LOTS of fluids, you want to be drink water and any electrolytes you can tolerate. Sleep as much as you can. I know my first infection I was down for the count for about 3-4 months and it was rough, but it gets better. Rest rest rest. Even when you start to feel better you can’t push it, you have to stay resting. They should also be drawing blood regularly to check your levels to see if you’re going in the right direction
