I graduated highschool last year, and I haven't been in a relationship since freshman year. I know it's not a big deal but there's this constant voice in the back of my head telling me that I'm undesirable, wether because I'm tall or just too weird

I wasn't in any relationships until I was an adult. There's no rush to be with someone. The right one will find you when it's the right time.

I know that feeling. But the right person will find you when you least expect it.

It's taken me a long time to realize if someone can't see how much of a catch I am with my quirks they aren't worth my time. I never even had my first relationship until I was 17 and I didn't even really like him. I was just tired of being single throughout my teenage years. I felt like no one liked me or wanted me either. Now 8 years later and I'm about to celebrate my 1st anniversary. There's been some heartbreak in between but there's plenty of time to figure out who you are and what you want in a partner. Find out what is non negotiable for you. Don't be afraid to be picky because there might be guys in the future who want your attention but aren't healthy for you. It's better to know what you want than get stuck in an abusive relationship just for the sake of not wanting to be lonely.

You're still pretty young, and sooooo much changes with time. I am not the same person I was when I was in highschool (I'm 30 now). It doesn't sound like that huge of a time difference, but you're about to actually start living life. Every year that passed, I learned and changed. I struggled with mental health for like 10 years before figuring out what medicine combinations worked well. It may be a difficult time for you as well. But my point is that your story is just beginning. Love is out there for you. Think about what your principles are and live within those, and people who resonate with that will end up near you. You may have to put yourself out there with tools like meetup.com to encounter folks, because it can be tricky meeting people outside of a school setting. But just be patient. I don't know you, but I'm sure you're worth loving, and have a lot to offer.. I hope all that helps. ❤️🩹
@paj how dare u make me cry tears of happiness
@Ukor Use it to be creative.
@Ukor Don't let pop culture and the media define you, YOU DEFINE YOU! You want to be weird , be weird, be unique, you be yourself. Intentionally write down your interests, what you're not interested in, your plans, hopes dreams, nightmares, do it all.
@Ukor Use that alone time to your advantage, get to know yourself . Make a list of personality traits, your own first. Get a journal and do this or download one your phone. Do a list of personal beliefs spiritual, political, physical, medical, etc... Do other things journal what bugs you what doesn't just document you. What you do with it when you are done is up to you.
