I've been getting like this everyday for weeks now. Taking from my mother and claiming this feeling for myself. I can't stop and I wish I could. Looking for that way out, but now I'm locked in this cage. It feels too good to stop, and feels like the only thing that truly helps me though I know it's only destroying me.

My mother is diagnosed with MS like... Severe... I would secretly steal from her all the time. She had all of the opioids. Percocet, oxycodone, morphine, etc. I'm still trapped in that same cage because I recreationally take dxm and occasionally take from her when I have nothing left. It's a horrible thing and a lot harder to kick/stop than people (like my bf) think. I truly feel for you.

I've personally done the same thing to get percocets šŸ˜„ my mom was prescribed them for cirrhosis of the liver caused by diabetic pills she was taking but it damaged her liver so bad she was having liver failure and my husband got me hooked on them and she had 120 every month and it's so hard for me yo come out about this because now being sober since 2014 I realize the damage I did and the hurt I caused I also stole from my grandmother. I was hooked for 10 yrs I lost custody of my 3 children who now suffer mentally šŸ˜¢ I knew I needed to stop but I didn't want anybody in this world to know I had a problem or that I needed help so I quit on my own not going to a facility and it was the longest two weeks of my life coming off! But so worth it and I promised myself and kids I'd never be that person ever and haven't I'm telling you this because I know exactly how you feel I've been there and it is tough it may be the toughest thing you've ever done but your worth it! Keep in mind if you do decide to stop that you will want them believe me to stop the horrible withdrawals but know that in doing so it'll only prolong the nasty side effects so once your done for good stay done and remember that you don't wanna have to go through that again! Music and prayer got me through! You can't do it forever I'm saying this from experience I would've been in a much worse spot now! You can do it if you need me im here just count down for me I was finally able to sleep after 2 weeks and it got better after that for me and don't be afraid to get help somewhere! I just didntvwant to admit I had a problem but I knew I did and just did it on my own.
