I live in a dorm room that has a scale in it and I’m having this problem with not using it. Whenever I use it I get really insecure about my weight and I start to restrict what can I do to help. I don’t want to ask my roomie to move it.

maybe ask them to keep it somewhere else while they're not using it, if you're comfortable with them and trust them enough I'd definitely suggest telling them it can be a trigger too. it's OK to do/feel "selfish" sometimes but if it's better for our well-being to do so it'll always be worth it

I think the best option would be to ask them to move it. It may be difficult, but it will be for the betterment of you!!
