Is the word 'cripple' offensive?

Yes it really bothers .e. It's like saying that you can't do anything because your "crippled"

I am deeply bothered by the weird “cripple” offensive because of the way it is most commonly used … Many times people refer to a person with a disability as “a cripple” as a derogatory term, as though that person is damaged or inferior. Crippled carries the same negative connotation.
