Difficulty accessing STD test kits in the UK

Hi everyone, just as a general medical help thing I wanted to put this on here. As most people will agree, testing for STDs/STIs regularly while sexually active is very important, however the number of cases in the UK has gone up so much recently and the normal free NHS services are so in demand it is hard to get a test kit from SH:24. I was looking for something else & found Lloyds pharmacy wouldn’t take me because of some of my symptoms, even though they’ve been investigated by a doctor e.g pelvic pain. Worth keeping in mind! I also found the sexual health clinics and nurses were too busy due to the fact they needed someone more specialised for my medical history. I’ve now got some test kits from a place called Fettle online (had to pay), but if you are in the UK right now, please be aware it can be hard to access test kits. This whole process has taken me months whereas normally it would be no where near that. Stay safe 🤞🏻
