Step back and come back later when you're feeling better. There's nothing wrong with stepping away from a conversation if you need to

Take a breather. Make some space for a while until you feel you are in a ready to have a calmer conversation with him.

Sometimes when I get to the point where I’m lashing out at someone, I don’t realise what/how I’m saying what I’m saying until I’ve already said it. If I catch myself being rude/ angry then I try to just stop and actually think for a second before I carry on with the conversation, if not sometime I have just to remove myself from the conversation until I or the other person are calmer or in a different frame of mind

Breaks. When I can get them. My spouse does not always give space for them and sometimes follows me through the house, angry that I am overwhelmed and not able to continue in the moment. If yours is not like this, utilize those breaks. They are vital and precious.

Also, remember self love. You are deserving.
