I’ve been have stomach issues for months. I’ve had blood work, an x-ray, and an ultrasound which only showed intestinal blockage and fatty liver disease. A few days ago I got an endoscopy and colonoscopy since my doctor didn’t think we had found the cause of the issues. Nothing was visibly wrong according to my doctor (which I had a dreading feeling I would hear). The biopsies came back and all they showed was focal active Duodenitis. I’m upset because that should have been something the doctor could see. I’ve had multiple days in the past months where I’m non-stop violently vomiting and can’t even keep water down all day. Every day I have abdominal pain and most days feel nauseous. I have medication but they don’t even work well. I feel like there is something else they haven’t found but I don’t know what to do or how to find it. I’m desperate.

Hi! I was recently diagnosed with Superior Mesenteric Artery Syndrome after experiencing chronic upper left abdominal pain. It’s very rare, but it restricts the duodenum, causing decreased blood flow in your intestines, leading to blockages. It may be worth mentioning to a doctor, it is diagnostic with ultrasound (not super accurate) or CTA (very accurate)
