Have you ever moved house before? How do you deal with the stress and change of moving to a different environment?

Moving is kind of hard for me. With change and a lot going on, it gets really stressful. We're actually going to be moving houses soon, because my parents are retiring within the next year. So we are moving from the house that I've lived in for 16 years to a house that's on the western part of the state. It's going to be hard for me. But I know everything is going to be alright.

I moved many times as a kid even out of state twice. For me it wasn’t stressful initially because I actually liked moving. It was like going on an adventure, and an opportunity for a fresh slate. I didn’t really have friends growing up because everyone kinda thought I was weird since I was autistic. So it didn’t bother me that much leaving people behind. That changed in high school when I started to make close friends especially towards my senior year. It was kinda rough moving out of my high school town because that I felt I was starting to get accustomed to my town, which never happened before. What id say is try to make friends in your new area as soon as you can, I think they will help a lot in getting you settled in.
