Dealing with Letting Go of Someone Who Isn't Interested in a Romantic Relationship

Hey, People. Dealing with letting go of someone who is hugely important to me, but who isn't interested in a romantic relationship. I've tried multiple times to be just friends with him, but it's too painful. It's also painful and awkward to try to maintain distance from him (and I don't really want to). We attend the same church and have a small group of very close friends in common. Can you give me some tips on dealing with this? It would be nice to keep my sanity. 🥺 Thank you in advance. ❤️❤️❤️

      @CameronElizabeth u maybe soul bodies.twin flames perhaps. Could be why u habe a strong hold on him. I've been there before. I was taught if u love them u can let them go. Easier said then done i know. It would be very difficult to see him with another. I think only way for u to feel comfortable about it is go on dates try to meet someone else u may connect with. Once u move on it will be easier to dealwith

        @Dulcina We were never a couple. Friends, yes. I want something more, but he doesn't. Yes, I know about loving myself first, but that is not the issue for me. What I am trying to manage is how to let go and accept reality when I will still likely see him often.
