General question: How do you deal with internalized ableism? Any advice on battling internalized ableism?

One thing that helped me a lot is finding and glowing disabled content creators on social media. Internalized ableism is so common, and people discuss it a lot. Plus, it can be very comforting to have a community of disabled folks for support.

it’s hard when the people around you kind of unknowingly have it too. for example, when filling out tax forms, it asks you “are you disabled?” my epilepsy is a disability, but because it’s “invisible” I was even hesitant to check yes people view disabilities as a visible thing but recognizing that you don’t need to be physically ill in order to “prove” to people that you’re disabled is a step in the right direction I think
