My doctor is having me use the dexcom cgm and idk how I feel about it.. im trying to give it a chance (I've used the freestyle cgm as well) and I just wanted to hear some opinions on it of others who have/had it before.. pros/cons. My bs levels have a 40-60 point difference vs pricking my fingers and I'm an anxious wreck about it 😅😅 Hoping maybe someone could relate or provide something that'll better help and that I could research

So far I love my dexcom but its the first week. But I have used freestyle and now dexcom I couldn't live without them but I still prick my fingers sometimes to see how accurate or if I feel like they are off or if they say im low or too high. But they are a definitely a game changer

I can not imagine going back to not using a dexcom. It is amazing. I have used the Medtronic sensors in the past and they are not as accurate or well made as dexcom. Give it a chance!

I have used freestyle libre 14 day and im currently about to switch to dexcom too. I'm nervous too. But I have heard good things about dexcom. Cgm are tool for diabetics. And if you are thinking that your cgm is off then prick your finger thats all you can do. Good thing with dexcom is if is off you can calibrate it. Freestyle you cant.

Honestly, I love my G6. The sensor is so so much easier to manage than the one with the Medtronic 670g, holy moly.

I used to use the guardian from Medtronic and it was horrible. It had a list of problems. After fighting my insurance for the dexcom it had been an absolute life changer. For the first 2 months I checked myself every meal or time I felt off the the dexcom was either spot on or within 25 points of. I also know someone who made the change and was happy that she changed to the dexcom.

I’ve been using Dexcom since 2013. It’s changed my life — I wouldn’t be able to live alone without it

I have the Dexcom G6 and it’s been a life saver for me. You have to calibrate at times but usually it’s pretty accurate!

Yeah first I was told my Insurance would pay for the Dexcom G6 so my doctor prescribed it then found out my insurance wouldn’t pay for it. And they would only pay for the freestyle libre 2 , so that is what I use and it does work great. Just don’t like it because you have to scan the sensor to get your numbers. But the freestyle libre 3, you don’t have to scan it anymore, it automatically sends your blood sugar numbers.

That's the next thing I'm coming into is if my insurance will cover it.. Doc said there's a good chance they won't but one can hope lol.

Yeah I wanted to get the Dexcom G6 myself but my insurance won’t pay for it

I loved the Dexcom but my insurance stopped paying for it.so now I’m using the freestyle Libre2. I would rather have the Dexcom 6 .

I use the freestyle libre 2 sensors and it is pretty close to my finger sticks within 15 points. I have never used the Dexcom system because my insurance won’t cover Dexcom
