hey y'all, does any experiencing hypervigilance and darting eyes when anxious? I'd love to hear I'm not alone in this, darting eyes specifically like trying to focus on one thing but can't because of the anxiety~ thanks!

      yes! so that, i think, is just a human instinct thing. when our bodies think there's danger, it wants to make sure it knows where the danger is. for me, trying to focus first on the physical symptoms of anxiety helps. so breathing exercises, hugging yourself (might sound silly but it can help), self-soothing with things that engage your senses positively. i would also see if, when you notice it, you can get yourself to close your eyes. try and ask yourself "is there a current physical threat of danger?" to provide some clarity on the situation.
