what is everyone on for hashimotos/ hypothyroidism? I take 175mg Levothyroxine but I am still feeling all my symptoms BIG time. Thinking of asking the doctor to add a T3? Has this helped anyone?

I have Hashimotos and am currently on .275 mcg of levothyroxine, the highest I've ever been on. Just did a recheck and finally have a normal TSH. T4 still not right though. Still feel exhausted despite this also. Very frustrating.

I'm on 50mcgs. My TSH fluctuated for 2-3 years, until I changed up my diet and started on supplements. My symptoms improved so much afterwards.

I'm on 300mcgs of Levo and it's not helping me at all. I've been like this for 27 years and have fought to get either T3 or NDT but to no avail.

It seems to have taken forever, but one we got my blood work looking good, I did feel better. Diet is important!!!

I was on 175 and felt great but they re did my bloods and said my thyroxin levels were too high so it's been reduced twice, now on 125 and feel really awful. All the symptoms!

I too have Hashimotos and am also on 175mg but my hair still keeps falling out, skins super dry, constipation, achey, depressed and my numbers are still too low. My Dr doesn't want to increase my dosage because she says I'm on such a high dose already so she's sending me to an endocrinologist to find out why I'm still having issues. I've never tried any other meds for my thyroid besides synthroid and the one I'm currently taking. I wasn't even aware you could take other meds that help your thyroid so thank you this is something I'll be bringing up to my Dr at my next upcoming appointment šŸ™‚

Iā€™m taking 60mg Armour Thyroid for my Hashiā€™s. Levo/synthroid did zero for me. Armour gives me mental clarity, better sleep, and Iā€™m starting to see improvement with my digestion, and hair loss. Iā€™m sure after 3 months or so Iā€™ll see more improvements.

@LadieTeacake that's what I was thinking of asking for. I've read stories of people that do better on the armour over levo.
