I really like doing ceramics, i don't have access to good clay or kilns anymore but i still like using air dry clay, it's always been a really good distraction and outlet for me

rhythm games, keeps my hands busy and my head occupied. basic motor functions retain and quickens brain function and output. great for combating mental deterioration from depression

I play video games so I need to use both of my hands. I also like playing my ukulele, and reading helps because it puts my full focus somewhere else

I journal and do artsy stuff with my synesthesia. My memory is very strongly related to it to. I am starting a new hobby where I walk around my neighborhood and find colors to paint match and put them in my journal like a swatch book of a place. It encourages me to go outside and help ground me.

If you’re really into music you can make a hobby of looking for new artists you may like or checking out different genres, or pick up an instrument yourself. If you’re into gaming, fantasy games like Skyrim are very easy to get lost in and very fun

Paint mixing. Makes you think in different ways and keeps you grounded since you have to pay attention to real objects.

Crocheting/knitting and writing! I express a lot of my emotions through poetry and journaling so that tends to help me. There are some really cool journals out there where you can write and also color pictures within them. I tend to use these for my poetry/songwriting so it’s nice. Also, video games tend to help me. I always suggest things like Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley, etc. sometimes just casual games to get my mind off things.

Oh also, I like making music playlists. You can make playlists on your moods, one for each month of the year, seasons, colors, literally anything. Then give it a cool name. Music always helps, AND it keeps you busy
