I’m so sorry, my knees do this all the time as well. The best thing for me is an ace bandage and keeping it as straight as possible, I hope this helps even if just a little bit :)

  @Oliverita thank you for the advice. Just getting to this now (weather has been awful) it dislocates at the shoulder most frequent. I am unsure how to apply this advice to the shoulders. It's frustrating to wake up dislocated.
