Recently, I've been experiencing an uptick in some of my symptoms and am becoming concerned that there may be a bigger underlying problem, but I'm not sure what it may be. As of late, I have been having a larger amount of auditory hallucinations and a few visual. I have also been experiencing a strangely large amount of paranoia; though I'm not sure if it's directly associated with the hallucinations. Those two things however have certainly contributed to me staying up super late and only being able to sleep for about 3-5 hours every night. I've also been experiencing a lot more dissociation, which is resulting in time loss. The one symptom that has caused me the most worry about what might be going on with me is the paranoia. About a month or so ago, I started having this worry that someone has been hiding and watching me. I had zero reason to start worrying about this, but I did and it has only gotten worse. I'm wondering if anybody with similar experiences could give me some input on what this might be, or even just offer methods they've used to cope with these symptoms. I want to be ready ahead of time before I bring this up to a psychiatrist so it feels a lot more organized in trying to get a diagnosis (and hopefully treatment).

The experiences you're describing, such as auditory and visual hallucinations, paranoia, sleep disturbances, and dissociation, are symptoms that can be associated with various mental health conditions. It's important to discuss these symptoms with a professional, like a psychiatrist, who can provide a diagnosis and treatment options. Coping mechanisms can vary widely depending on the individual and the specific symptoms they're experiencing. However, it's crucial to remember that while advice from others with similar experiences can be helpful, it should not replace professional help.
