Experiencing Paranoia and Hallucinations: Am I Overreacting?

I'm wondering if what I'm experiencing is similar to psychosis. Certain things trigger it but it stays around for only a few hours at most. I get intense, paralyzing paranoia and occasional hallucinations. They are mostly random auditory ones that are harmless but still concerning. My visual hallucinations are either very mundane or very frightening. I get delusions as well which mostly coincide with the paranoia. Like I know this isn't normal and I'm not looking for someone to diagnose me here. I just want to know if I'm overreacting because I have no idea what's going on

Hi! If you haven't seen a professional about this yet, you should. These are psychotic symptoms. They will most likely NOT go away on their own. You might consider a psychiatrist. There is medication that might help with what you're experiencing. Best of luck!
