a few years ago, on my brothers death anniversary, i crawled into my moms bed and bawled my eyes out just holding her. it really helped me mentally, and let my bottled in emotions out. i keep asking her if i can do it again, and she always says no. she’s never been super affectionate unfortunately, but it still really hurts whenever she says no. especially since it helps my mental health.

I find having a good cry therapeutic. It truly does lifts a weight off my shoulders. It's also more efficient if you cry with someone more sympathetic and willing. Sometimes being emotional or just releasing bottled up feelings can push people away unintentionally. So please stay mindful of who you release or share your feelings with. Also remember that everybody claiming to be sympathetic isn't always a good person. Some people live to use and prey on those who need help or just a shoulder to cry on. Be observant of people.

Do you have anyone else, that you can hug and cry out your feelings, with?
