What are close platonic relationships supposed to look like? I know there isn't one way to define this, but just as a general? I've been alone most of my life and so I've tended to grow ridiculously clingy to a few that I've attached myself onto. I ended up becoming codependent towards my first partner even. I'm doing much, much better now, but I realized I might still have a little tiny bit of codependency on others. I can't tell if I'm worrying about nothing; I don't want to be clingy or pushy, but I don't know how I'm supposed to maintain a relationship (platonic, romantic or otherwise) if we don't speak to each other that much.

I was like this for a long time to the point where it would hurt the people I was with because I wasn't giving them breathing space, so I learned to also be happy alone and doing things by myself, and reminded myself that when friends or others don't always text back or hang out it's not because they hate me it's because their tired, busy at work, busy with others out loving life like I should be also. People should be supportive of each other, but also boundaries are important, you'll slip up and it's hard getting used to at first but it also helps to be honest to people how you feel about them and what is going through your mind rather it's a platonic or romantic relationship.
