I've been struggling with balancing chronic pain and social interactions: my main issue is with being present. I dissociate and disconnect in group settings, often because of flare ups. I want to work on staying present with my friends and loved ones because otherwise I have issues keeping up relationships, but it's hard because I don't really want to be in the present to avoid as much physical (or sometimes mental) pain as possible. anyone have any tips as to how to really be in the moment on a daily basis?
