Struggling with Chronic Illness and Employment

hello alikes 👋 i recently started a new, very physical warehouse job while on a short course of oral prednisone prescribed by my primary while i wait to see a rheumatologist. i’ve been employed for two weeks and i’m already on employer sponsored std. when i first started i was kicking ass and taking names… but then i got food poisoning (prednisone making one more prone to infection i suppose!) that required hospitalization, and then i slipped in the shower and potentially cracked a rib (imaging today), and now i’m off the prednisone and swollen everywhere and feeling like i live in hospitals and clinics and ALSO like that awesome active kick ass feeling i had when i was conquering the demands of the fun new workout job will always be just out of reach. anyone else feel like it just never stops? like you’re just fully sick of being sick? ugh
