Choosing Between Two Genders While Facing Parental Disapproval

I'm bisexual and I had some similar thoughts several years ago. What was helpful for me was when I stopped trying to choose who I wanted to be with, and just waited to see which kinds of people I liked. I just left myself and my options open in terms of the gender of the person, and instead, I decided to date people based on whether or not I liked them. This may not work for everyone but I found it to be really helpful for myself :)
