Challenging Myself to Love Me More

Does anyone find it hard to actively love yourself on a daily basis? I'm challenging myself to push through my resistance to self-love and negative self-talk so that before this year is up I can feel truly worthy and satisfied by my very existence. However, it's hard when I crave validation from other people alllll the time, and consider other people's opinions of me as Unbreakable Laws. People pleasing is one of my greatest barriers to loving myself.

Yep, I struggle with this every single day. I see a therapist weekly, and he brings it up almost every session. The problem is that I have have no idea how even to change it. I do know that it doesn't have to be huge things like getting a massage or pedicure or taking a nice bath every night, although those things are nice. It can be small things like watching a show you enjoy, or eating that dessert you want, or enjoying a book. Doing little acts of self-care will lead to self-compassion, which will lead to self-love. I still haven't attained that. In fact, I suck at it. I wallow in self-pity most of the time. It's definitely easier said than done. But any baby step you can take in that direction is progress. ❤️
