How do I love myself more? I just dislike so much about myself and I feel like I'm doing so much to try to love myself but it just doesn't ever work. I want to start loving myself, any advice would be appreciated

I heard in a documentary to stand in front of your mirror every day naked or nearly naked for like 3 minutes and name as many physical features of yourself that you like. If you do it everyday its suppose to help you find more things to live about yourself

I used to have the same problem until I developed a relationship with my self. I began to talk to my body parts about how grateful I was for all the unseen things they do for me consistently every day...without being told. It's like our bodies are automatically responsible to give us life... It may seem odd to do, but the simple act of self- love and gratitude goes a long way... Try it šŸ˜ƒ

Take time to practice self care, and start listening to your body (hungry, shower, clip or clean your nails). The more you listen to your body, the more you love yourself. Appreciate what your body does for you. There are so many ways to love yourself before even delving into body image. Start there, I hope this helps!

Inexperience self criticism self talk. I believe therapy can help. I called a therapist and it takes a month before I can get appointment. There is nothing wrong talking to a therapist and getting help to feel better.

I think it's good to start with self-acceptance. Instead of being like, "I love myself," sometimes it's easier to say, "I am a human being." Neutral stuff. Also, if you use self-deprecating humor a lot, try switching it up with sarcastic self-aggrandizing humor. Instead of, "I'm an idiot," say, "Oh aren't I so brilliant?" I thought it was a silly idea but it really helped me.

Try a spa day. Get a mani and pedi. Do your hair, get dolled up. Even if itā€™s just to sit around the house. When you look good you feel good. Look in the mirror and tell yourself your worthy. Hope this helps a little.
