Cereal and Blood Sugar: What's Going On?

Ok I don't know if this is just me but, when you eat cereal you measure it do the right carbs yet your blood sugar still goes high. Like I don't know if it's just me or I'm doing something wrong.

it’s normal I think my endo said it’s normal to go high after every meal so it’s probably just how the carbs are breaking down in ur body that is messing ur bg (simple cards v complex carbs blah blah)

Mine does the same thing, it goes up from every meal, but especially for breakfast cereals. I find I often have to do double the amount of insulin to at least curb the rise

It is normal for your sugar to go high after every meal but a little tip especially for cereal count about 1/3 of the total sugars into your carb count because a lot of sugar will turn into carbs. 👍

For me I usually give 1-2 units extra depending on the cereal and how much I’m eating honestly. Probably not the best practice but it helps some 🤷‍♀️
