High Blood Sugar After Lunch: What's Going On?

Why do my levels spike so much after lunch, even when I account for all of the carbs and don’t even eat that many??

Well it would depend because my bread is 13 carbs for one slice. And im allowed 45 carbs. But each person is different so I would try different combinations. And for me certain combinations just don't work and I would write them down. Or if I know that combination has worked then I know something is going on. So I think am I sick or did I change medications. I have other illnesses other than t1d.

That would be a lot of carbs for me. If I add that up it’s over 30 carbs which is my limit for lunch. I don’t eat bread because it takes up all my carb allowance. It may be time to adjust your insulin to carb ratio if you don’t want to lower your carb intake.

I’ve been a diabetic for 19 years. In this particular instance, I had a sandwich with whole wheat bread, a couple pieces of apple, and one cookie.

What are you eating? I'm not a full expert, but maybe I can help a little. How long have you been a type 1 diabetic
