What books have you read that are about living with chronic illness? Looking for fiction and nonfiction - stories featuring characters with illness, memoirs, or patient education books. I’m currently reading The Invisible Kingdom by Meghan O’Rourke, and I love it so far.

@Rowboat It’s not so much about illness but it is about chronic disability

Awesome! I’m definitely looking for more chronic illness books. I’m writing my own and am trying to get inspiration. 😂 I’m currently reading Everything Happens For A Reason (and other lies I’ve loved) by Kate Bowler. She wrote about having a sudden diagnosis of stage 4 colon cancer. It’s kind of a downer lol, but the book is a bestseller. The next one I want to try is How To Be Sick. 😊
@squigglybeanz if you’re looking for inspiration, The Invisible Kingdom is a must! It’s a memoir mixed with information she’s obtained through interviewing patients & doctors
