hi, i’m new here. i have been struggling with my body image lately. i do competitive dance. i’m at the studio from 4-9 on the weekdays, and 9-5 on weekends. as a dancer i always feel the need to be a perfectionist. i can’t help but to think that i don’t have the “right” body for dance. i am an average weight too. i don’t know how to feel more comfortable in my body.

Use more kind language to your body and yourself. Thank your body for allowing you to have the talent of dance/letting you do what you love. Everyone feels this way about themselves as some point and everyone forgets that the people around them admire them the same way you admire others bodies. Remember that at some point some stranger looked at you and admired you the same way you do the other pretty women in your life.
