Stay off social media. Those videos start hitting home and then it gets into a roll and then it gets darker and darker. Focus on things that make you happy. Video games that aren't super competitive, doing a hobby, going out somewhere

reading or doing something that had low stress, something that i can take slow. or eating a favorite snack, and watching a movie/show. sometimes it doesn't help and i have to just rest all day but there are definitely things that don't help like listening to sad music or thinking about things that make me sad/upset too much. i hope ur down day passes soon and with little discomfort 💗

Some coping skills that work for individuals during a "down" day include screaming frustrations into a pillow, taking a walk outside, laying in bed and understanding the emotions felt that day, deep breathing while thinking about a simple task in detail, expressing oneself through relaxing and enjoyable activities like cooking or painting, staying busy, doing yoga, engaging in activities they love such as drawing or watching a good show, taking a long bath or shower, cuddling with pets or people, watching comfort movies or shows, listening to music, playing calming video games, crocheting, coloring, playing games on phone, journaling, being around animals, and using essential oils.
