Need advice on potential back surgery

I have the same back issues as you and I'm in need of back surgery as well and I'm scared to death too. But I've talked to so many people where back surgery has helped them have less pain than what they use to have and I've talked to people where back surgery didn't help them. So it's a 50/50 chance I'm willing to take. I'm trying to stay on the positive side that it will work.
