I've recently (June 2021) been diagnosed with ADHD at 41 years old. I've always had depression and MAJOR anxiety issues along with OCD. I've been on Bupropion XL for a few months now for the depression and Fluvoxamine for OCD. My doctor gave me Vyvanse 20mg to start. It was GREAT! My family noticed a difference right away! Then, after about a month I noticed it wasn't working as well. Doctor upped my dosage to 30mg. Fast forward 2 months to current and I don't feel the higher dosage made a difference at all😥 it's been about 2 months on the new dosage. Anyone else have a similar experience??

It was scary but I'm fine now. The only damage it did for me was I don't have any pulse or blood pressure. Just make sure to take the dosage as prescribed.

Tired247 Thank you!! Wow, I bet that was scary! I'm not going to take any more than prescribed🤗 My anxiety just makes me overthink and overreact ALOT 😥 so I like to see others' experiences. Thank you for your feed back. I will talk to my doctor about possibly finding out if my body is able to break it down.

I have with different meds in the past. Whatever you do, don't take more than prescribed. I tried fixing the "not working" bit by taking 2 instead of 1 with clonidine, my sleeping meds, I fell into a coma like state for 5 days. Same with my ADHD meds. It is totally normal for your body to reject certain medicine because it can not break it down. Maybe check to see what your body can break down if you don't know, the chemicals in the medicine might be some of them. I am now on new meds that my body can break down easily and it is a life saver. Just don't take more no matter how tempting it is.
