I've been on Vyvanse for many years now, on and off because "controlled substance" shit is cringe. Different things work for everyone. It might take several different medications before you find the one that works the best for you. It took years when I was younger to eliminate medications that didn't work/gave me horrible side effects. Try to be patient.

I liked Vyvanse, or Adderall XR or immediate release Adderall.

@AllieCatB Adderall can be harmful to your mind and body, and it was to myself.

I would recommend conserda not Adderall or riddlen, both had terrible effects on my mind and body.

Growing up I was put on every ADHD medicine out there, the best advice I can give is to monitor your mental health very closely, because a side effect of ADHD medicines is depression and anxiety. Keep open communication with your doctor and don't leave out any side effects you're feeling, even if you think it's unrelated.

@Annie_C my mother went the other way with me and I was never allowed to be on ADD medication although I would’ve wanted to be on it and I’ve still never been able to try it and my life is a mess I’m very disorganized but now they say I’m too old so go figure that really sucks. I guess I am surprised to know what the downside is too taking medication. Actually I just use coffee and caffeine to start the day and I try and be as productive as I possibly can but still everything is a mess and I’m not very productive.
