When did your anxiety start? I feel like people are always surprised when I say I've had it as long as I can remember.

I became aware of my anxiety when I was in 6th grade. I had no friends, and started dredding going to school. I ended up having to switch to online school.

Ive had it sinces i was a pre teen i was young too.
I got mine at 10 and my mom beat me thinking I was just being a bad kid. I realize it was anxiety after I was 22.
I got diagnosed with extreme anxiety when I was in high school...the teachers left me on a train by myself
definitely since birth, thankfully i started therapy super early which helps, but i really can't imagine or remember a time where i wasn't nervous about everything. it really sucks but honestly my caution has saved me from some really shitty situations that my friends have gotten into that I avoided, still not fun though
I can't remember not having anxiety and panic attacks. Since at least 6 I think judging from photos. I used to ground myself and hysterically cry if I thought I did something bad. My parents wouldn't ever know why. Lots of catholic guilt.

I’m honestly not sure. But I’m sure I’ve had it since I was young. I was always an outcast as a child because of my nervousness and shyness.
It all began senior year of high school whilst learning what the was expected for my IB exams… the thought “what if I can’t do this?” plagued my mind and from there everything spiraled. This was abnormal for since I never had testing anxiety before but I suppose these tests were different because they counted for 40% of 2 years worth of work plus if I did well I could earn college credits and save money. Needless to say I buckled under all the pressure and blanked out during the first exam. It might as well have been written in a different language. Shortly after I was in the nurse’s office experiencing my first panic attack, puking my brains out and I still had 2 weeks of exams ahead of me. I had no idea what was happening to me. I thought something was wrong with me. I was feeling and thinking so many things. But the primary fear was that this would happen in college too. And it did… It’s been an uphill battle since. I’m not going to get into it but I hope that helps.
Same. Mine was at least since I was like 7 but I don’t have many memories before then so who really knows! I just always say my whole life but if a doctor asks I say that age because it’s when I remember my first times truly dealing with it. I wasn’t diagnosed until 16 officially but it was quite clear what I had been struggling with all those years.
I was always nervous and anxious since about the 8th grade. It has gotten much worse as I got older. I'm now 53 and it can be unbearable at times
10 years for me, had my 1st of many panic attacks, they stopped for awhile and then all of a sudden they came back now every day is a struggle,
I can't remember a time with out it, especially since finding out more about how I was showing signs of it as a kid
Hard to say. I was diagnosed with high functioning autism when I was a kid, but my tantrums and breakdowns have just manifested into panic attacks. So I will just say like - most of my life
As long as I can remember. I was labeled dramatic as a child.
Well*
I was labeled a hypochondriac as a child. That's how they dealt with my anxiety. My issues were not as important as my sister's because I didn't act out, and I did all in school.
I had my first ever panic attack at nine years old but I was always an anxious kid. I was horrifically abused though, so that wasn't abnormal. I wasn't formally diagnosed until I was 15, but I was definitely born with an anxiety disorder
