Everything seems to be geared to hyperactive type ADHD. I don't have that, I'm inattentive, unmotivated, forgetful, unfocused, more downs than up. Any resources for this my type of ADD that have helped you be productive?

I am on Methylphenidate for ADD, and Viibryd to manage depression symptoms (mostly caused by my struggles to be effective and productive). Other than keeping a brave face, it would be nice to know which organizational or productivity tools have worked for this type of ADD. I can get really enthusiastic about new ideas, but my terrible memory messes up most systems and my enthusiasm doesnt last.

I'm not sure if you've considered medication or not, but it has without a doubt been the biggest decider in my success. I'm a student right now, and I can attribute all my growth to a Vyvanse prescription. It sounds silly and strange, but it really does make such an incredible difference every day.

Society has corrupted us to think that we always have to be on the go 24/7 and the grind never stops. That’s just unrealistic and untrue. You’re not supposed to feel motivated all the time. The days you lose that desire and inspiration are the days you should be resting so that you’ll have enough energy to take up any projects that inspire you in the future. Just stay patient and determined- knowing better days are coming (:

@morgzie I appreciate your encouragement, and this comes at a great time when I am at a low point mentally and physically. My problem is I own a family business previous run by my very organized father, and I have a lot of people depending upon me to keep it together, and get things done.

Yes that’s my problem! I wasn’t diagnosed for the longest time because all the psychiatrist was concerned about was the H in ADHD… I’m the exact opposite of hyper in all aspects lol.

@addunome66 I am 53, and was diagnosed late in life. I've tried a few programs and apps that say they are for ADHD, but have seldom stuck with them after my enthusiasm inevitably fades.
