Hi! What brought you to this app and what are you looking to get out of chatting? I'm recently medicated for adhd, and for the first time in my adult life I have the ability to decide to do things and actually DO them.. It's a lot, and I'm unraveling the mess of my previous years pretty good so far.. But the thing I'm struggling with is that I'm finding it hard to join society as it were.. I've always avoided people because of the anxiety and shame etc. but now I don't feel like I have to hide anymore. I'd really like to go out and meet new people and jump into life and start living.. I'm just not really sure how to add an adult. So I'm hoping for some advice on that front if you've got any! š

I saw an ad for the app on IG, I think. Itās nice to talk to people that can really relate to what youāre going through. Iāve joined some FB groups as well that have been helpful for me. Idk how old you are, but Iāve kind of given up on meeting new friends. People tend to suck in real life & I donāt need any added stress or anxiety. That sounds terrible as I write it, but itās been my experience. Iām an introvert that is very friendly & Iām also an empath, so people literally drain me by dumping all of their problems on me. If I do meet a friend, itāll have to be organic. Iāve previously met people through work, but with working from home lately thatās not really happening. Iāve joined Meetups, mom groups, etc. but I havenāt met anyone that Iāve really clicked with. But then again, I donāt think I let many people get too close either.
