I am more well off than my ancestors. I have books. I can read. I have food in my belly and enough left for when I get hungry. I have a vehicle that doesn't need horses. I have a doctor that isn't hundreds of miles away. I have more than one set of clothes for each season. I have hot water. My ancestors would be very proud of me, in their eyes I am rich and happy.
I remind myself of the people and things that are still in my life. I try to remember that some people. Have it worse than I do, and that there is still a lot that I can do. When looking at the positive aspects of my life, and working toward those positive goals, the negative or bad aspects of my life seem smaller and more insignificant. They are not gone, but they are manageable!😀
I snuggle up with my kitties. They love me, and honestly, I promised them both I'd do what I could to give them good lives. The way I see it, I still gotta carry on about a decade for them, and they're sometimes the only things in my world worth that effort.
My boyfriend lol or snuggling with a stuffed animal makes me happy 😊
