Dealing with Memory Loss from PTSD

I can't believe a psychiatrist said that to you! Hopefully you've found a better one.

I have terrible memory. I dont know which issue to blame but it sucks and I get so upset about it all the time but im slowly realizing that forgetting things are really common, maybe they don't forget as much but they forget to and that helps me not feel so bad.

Ugh I feel like sometime therapists/psychiatrists forget all their people skills. I've had some crazy experiences through the years. Just remember that's a them problem and not a you problem. I have a terrible memory because of my anxiety so I feel you.

I also have that! I forget a lot of stuff that happens to me for years at a time and then it comes back to me at the most odd of times. Also that psychiatrist sounds like an ass ngl... it's not a normal thing to happen, but you're also not alone.
