Memory Issues After Trauma: Should I Talk to a Doctor?

Ever since one of my more recent traumatic events, I’ve noticed myself having issues with memory. It would make sense to me if I was just forgetting parts of the events surrounding the trauma, but it’s more than that. I will forget big parts of things that happened only a month or so ago even though the traumatic event was more like 6-8 months ago. This didn’t happen near as much before the traumatic event and I’m not sure if I should talk to a doctor about it. I’m scared to.
