Feeling Distant from My Boyfriend

i do the exact same thing and it’s so painful. i just got over another phase of that exact thing and everytime afterward im like why was i even upset?? i’m trying to learn to control myself better and see through my emotions and make sure i remember what’s real but it’s hard.

Maybe you're used to something bad happening or a negative response so you are on edge waiting for it but since it's a healthy relationship you will not receive that negative affirmation. Try to communicate this with him and see if he feels the tension when it gets like that. I wish you the best of luck!
