does anyone randomly just feel like they can’t feel positive emotions for a certain period of time? for example my menstrual cycle is coming up soon and it’s making me very emotional but worse than usual, i have a partner and i know i love him but it feels like i can’t feel as close to him as i usually do or i can’t feel as good as i usually do when nothing has changed. it worries me because i do love him i just don’t get why i can’t feel it, then i get put on edge and start thinking he will leave which makes me feel like i should just end the relationship and run before that can happen. it’s all so confusing to me and i just feel alone, does anyone else experience something similar?

Yes, I am currently going through a long period of this. It is causing me to not message my friends much. I am lucky to have a boyfriend who is patient and understanding, but the internal struggle 😭😡🙈
Yes, I go through times where my mind is telling me my partner doesn't want me and I should just run (I tend to be a flight risk). I also have times where I am completely numb to all feelings, and that scares me the most. The best thing I've learned is to sit my partner down and tell her everything I'm feeling. Unfortunately, she has some things going on herself, and it takes a day or two for her to respond, but I understand because usually, the things I say are a shock to the senses. But in the end, we both support each other wholeheartedly.

Yes, some people experience periods where they feel disconnected from their loved ones or struggle with positive emotions, especially during times of hormonal changes like menstrual cycles. It's important to remember that these feelings are temporary and try to communicate with your partner about what you're going through.
